Experience

I was previously employed as a tutor through an America Reads/America Counts program, and provided tutoring to students grades K-12 in reading, math, and sciences. I was also a teaching assistant at my college for Microbiology. I have done biochemistry and microbiology research, with diverse laboratory experiences. This includes studying sodium transduction in cholera cells and microbial analysis of acid mine drainage samples from Pennsylvania and Ohio. Before college, I was an AP student and scored a 5 on the AP Biology. I can provide preparation for students also in an AP Biology program now. I finished my undergraduate degree one year early, and have decided to take a year to myself before charging forward with further career plans. During this time, I would love to provide tutoring services to students who need help, or an extra challenge, in sciences, math, or reading.
