Experience
I earned my MEd in differentiated instruction from Concordia University. Additionally, I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from St. Edwards University. For more than a decade, I've taught students in public and private schools in the Austin, Texas, area. I've cultivated experience teaching pre-K through eighth grade, helping students with subjects that include English as a second language and Spanish. Currently, I'm adept at teaching reading, writing, phonics, psychology, Spanish 1, Spanish 2, math, social sciences, and English. I additionally am able to serve as a STARR test prep tutor. My main goal is to help students who are struggling with school to reach their fullest potential and to teach them best practices they can apply to all subjects. I work hard to create a comfortable learning environment for my students and integrate fun and encouragement into my lesson plans. I aim to motivate my students to attain lifelong skills that will help them succeed in school and in their careers. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy running, listening to music, following college sports, catching up with family and friends, and attending concerts. I currently reside in Round Rock, Texas.
