As an avid reader, writer, and traveler, the English language is one of my greatest loves. Through tutoring, I aspire to share that love with my students and inspire them to not only improve their skills, but to really enjoy different aspects of the language. I am currently employed as a magazine editor in Austin, TX, and am a former Creative Writing and Literature instructor at the college level. I graduated from Rutgers with a bachelor's in Journalism and also hold a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction Writing from Sarah Lawrence.I have experience in teaching and tutoring all aspects of the English language, from basic skills (ESL) to college-level literature. I have worked with middle school and high school students, assisting them with grammar and mechanics, reading, writing skills, and essay editing.I am fully qualified to provide test prep services, specifically for the Advanced Placement (AP) English exams, both Composition and Literature. I also have experience in exam prep for the PSAT.In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, traveling (I have lived in New York and Pakistan!) and spending time with family. Of course I also spend a great deal of time with books; I don't leave my love of reading and writing at work!
