Andrea M.
Private tutor in Round Rock, TX
Education
I graduated from Mount Holyoke College located in South Hadley, Massachusetts with a degree in Global Politics and English Literature.
Experience
My strategies include pinpointing your child’s learning style and then mapping out goals and plans to target specific areas for improvement. By evaluating your child’s reading abilities, I will be able to determine where the most help is needed. A specific lesson plan will then be created to help your superstar achieve their goals. I’m tutoring because it is an opportunity to pursue my calling: to help children express themselves. My favorite areas to teach include reading, writing and social studies. I love grammar and vocabulary. My goal is for your child to not need me anymore! It’s sad for me to say, but it’s true. Whether your child is performing below or at average or exceeding their grade level, and wishes to continue to do so, I will help them! Every child has their own personality and learning style. Together we will succeed!

Hobbies
I enjoy writing of all styles. I'm also a huge fan of the culinary world. I even operated a cafe in a small beach town for a few years where I always made sure to include kids in various activities; children learned to write menus, cook simples dishes (including pastries and cupcake decorating). I'm into physical fitness and workout regularly. In college I ran Cross Country Division III and was a member of the College Debate Team. In high school, I competed in gymnastics and played lacrosse and field hockey. And from the ages of 6-12, I was a competitive figure skater. On a scholastic level, I was very successful in both elementary and high schools. I received an academic scholarship to attend a private high school in New York. My parents often hired tutors to ensure my continued academic success' and I attribute that extra help as a huge key to my success!
